This is Derek James and next week will be the culmination of three years work in fundraising and constructing a Children's Village in Serowe Botswana. The Opening will be performed by President Seretse Khama Ian Khama (Wow!). As Albert Einstein once said" Your own well being depends on the goodwill and smiles of others". I have had numerous smiles and as a result of my wife and staff's activities I am to receive the Presidential Order of Honour from the Pres in September! i have taken great inspiration from Seretse khama's inscription in Setswana on his memorial tombstone. "Lefatshe ke kereke yame, go dira molemo ke tumelo yame" which in English is " The country is my church and to do good is my religion". That is the only religion I shall touch!
Anyone who wishes to offer support to 550 orphan children in Botswana could please contact me at soscv@info.bw

thanks to all (many I think) who helped to bring about the 1959 50th reunion. By definition, a once in a lifetime event, and made more poignant by being held on the school property, where we had so many memories. I'm now back in Windhoek and will try and muster my photos this evening!
I hope I spoke to everyone who was there - to anyone else, who I did not get to properly talk to, my warmest regards.
